CV Maker allows people to generate resumes online based on the data provided by them.

Collection and use of user information

CV Maker collects personal information (name, contact information such as e-mail, phone, employment history, education records, and other information pertaining to career and employment history or personal profile) from its users solely for the purpose of generating their resumes, except as required by (a) federal, state, or international law, (b) subpoena, or court order, (c) the user's written consent, or (d) any other legitimate concerns, such as, ethical conflicts and genuine emergencies. CV Maker will not sell, share, or rent the user information to any third party. No personal information or user data is retained after deletion by the respective owner, where deletion is an easily accessible, explicit option provided to the user by CV Maker. If an entity wholly acquires CV Maker, the company and product, including IP, technology, rights, brand, user, resume, and other data, all liabilities, including security, privacy, and data protection shall be transferred to the entity from CV Maker, the company, and its proprietors.

Processing of user information

CV Maker does not use collected user information for any purpose other than generating resumes on user demand. The information is not processed or profiled in any other manner or sent anywhere outside of CV Maker's systems.

Deletion of of user information

Users can delete their account along with all associated information including all personal and sensitive data instantly and irrevocably by visiting the Edit profile page once logged in and clicking on the Delete account link. This process is instant and irreversible and leaves no copy of the user data anywhere.

In addition, users can e-mail [email protected] from their registered e-mails and request for manual deletion.

Information Disclosure

CV Maker doesn't split, sell, share, or rent personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies apart from providing service's you may have requested, with your authorization, or under the following circumstance:

CV Maker reserves the right to transport information about you and your use of this website in the occurrence of a transfer of rights of CV Maker, such as a takeover, acquisition, or merger with another company.

Publishing resumes online

CV Maker makes your resumes / CVs publically visible via a unique URL if and only if you explicitly set the status of a resume to Publish in its Share options. By default, all resumes are set to Unpublish, therefore private. Resumes explicitly published by you may be indexed by 3rd party search engines and sites and made available on their websites. CV Maker is neither responsible nor liable for where your resume content appears after you have made it public.

Cookies

Cookies are small pieces of information stored on the user's computer. CV Maker may access and set cookies on your computer. The cookie allows the CV Maker system to identify a user as a registered member and save some preferences that have nothing to do with a user's personal information. A small piece of encrypted data is stored in the cookie when a user logs in and this helps CV Maker identify the user later and automatically signs him/her in without the need of any manual action from the user. This cookie, in no way exposes any sensitive information.

Correspondences

CV Maker may contact its users from time to time to notify of important changes on the system, technical updates etc. CV Maker may also store correspondences from its users for tracking purposes, and these won't be shared/sold or rented to any thirdparty except as requred by (a) federal, state or international law, (b) subpoena or court order, (c) the user's written consent or other legit, genuine and ethical emergencies.

Disclaimer

Except as expressly provided otherwise in a written agreement between you and CV Maker, the online tool, resumes and document generated for users, and any materials included therein are provided "as is" and without warranties of any kind, either expresses or implied. To the fullest extent permissible pursuant to applicable law, CV Maker disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, or the warranty of non-infringement. Without limiting the foregoing, CV Maker does not warrant that the functions contained in the community or available through the community will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the community or the server that makes it available are free of viruses or other harmful components. CV Maker does not warrant or make any representations regarding the use or the results of the use of the materials on the community in terms of their correctness, accuracy, reliability, or otherwise. You (and not CV Maker) assume the entire cost of all necessary servicing, repair, or correction. Applicable law may not allow the omission of implied warranties, so the above omission may not apply to you.

Under no circumstances, including, but not limited to, negligence, shall CV Maker be liable for any special or consequential damages that result from the use of, or the inability to use, the community or any service provided therein, even if the CV Maker or a Company authorized representative has been advised of the possibility of such damages. Applicable law may not allow the limitation or omission of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or omission may not apply to you. No advice or information, whether written or oral, obtained by you from CV Maker or from or through the community shall create any warranty not expressly stated in these terms of use. Notwithstanding the provisions of any applicable laws, it is hereby agreed that in no event shall the CV Maker’s total liability to you for all damages, losses, and causes of action (whether in contract, tort (including, but not limited to, carelessness) or otherwise) exceed the amount paid by you, if any, for purchasing any materials, services or products.

No guarantees or warranties

Due to technical, legal and practical limitations, CV Maker cannot warrant and does not guarantee the non-disclosure of the user's private/personal information and data in ways not described in this privacy policy. CV Maker may disclose information to government authorities or third parties under certain circumstances, or third parties may unlawfully intercept or access private data or communications. As the user, you authorize CV Maker to disclose any information about you to law enforcement or other government officials/bodies as CV Maker, in its sole discretion, believes necessary, prudent or appropriate, in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, or other activity that is illegal or may expose CV Maker to legal liability.
